Pao Pao Beach Club is open to the public every day. It only offers a day trip or day-pass service since they do not have accommodation. In addition, it is essential to highlight that children under 14 years old are not allowed in this place, and pets are also not allowed.
Pao Pao Beach Club also offers several options to visit on your own boat or private yacht, whether to go to lunch or if you want to spend the day. Later I will tell you about these options so you can choose the one that suits you best.
How to Get to Pao Pao Beach Club from Cartagena?
The departure is from "Muelle de la Bodeguita" pier. You must be no later than 7:30 a.m. at Gate 3, and before entering, you must pay the pier's tax. This is an additional cost of COP 20,000 per person, which can only be paid in cash.
Since you make your reservation by paying 20% of the fee, they verify your name once inside so that you can pay the remaining percentage.
One upside is that they accept payments with debit or credit cards. It is essential to highlight that the deposit money will not be refunded if you do not show up.
Once you pay, they provide a place wristband. At 8:00 a.m., you will sail to Pao Pao Beach Club, located in the beautiful Rosario Islands. The trip takes 50 minutes.
What Does Pao Pao Beach Club Offer?
It offers the following amenities:

- Social areas

- Preferential spaces
- Restaurant bar

In addition, this beach club has a surreal atmosphere with charming details. The pool atmosphere becomes spectacular because the Dj will take care putting you to enjoy.
Accommodation is random, and by order of arrival, you can choose whichever you want. You can ask the staff which areas have a bit more shade, so they're not so abused by the sun.
If you want to be in a bed or sun lounger in front of the sea, you will have to pay an additional cost for the value of your stay. Beds have an additional fee of COP 80,000 and sun loungers of COP 60,000.
Pao Pao Beach Club has a rear beach with more relaxing music if you want to be in a slightly quieter environment.
Without a doubt, this is a very exotic place, so you can take good photos and videos for your social networks.
Day Trip Price (Day-Pass)
It offers two different rates:
- From Monday to Friday: COP 250,000 pax.
- Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays in Colombia: COP 300,000 pax.
Both rates include:
- Round boat trip.
- A welcome cocktail.
- Sun loungers.
- Lunch with five options: paella, seafood pasta, fried fish, chicken breast, or wok vegetables.
You choose the lunch directly on site when the amiable staff asks you for the cards with the names of your dishes.
The lunchtime at the restaurant is from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
We took Paella and Seafood Pasta for lunch with panela lemonade (included). Both were delicious, but the Paella was our favorite; you must try it!

Food and Drinks Menu
During your stay, you will want to order additional food or drinks that are not included in your rate. That's why Pao Pao Beach Club has a very varied menu for you to enjoy.
We tried some tasty traditional empanadas and two cocktails: Calvin Klein and VIP Sangria; they were both delicious.

Since the return from the island is scheduled for 3:00 p.m., they close your bill at 2:30 p.m. Once paid, you receive a boarding pass, which is requested for being allowed to board the boat.

This is a good option for groups that will be placed in the preferential room they choose:
- Jacuzzi Room, for 10 people: COP 3,000,000.
- Pergola Room, for 8 people: COP 1,000,000.
- Fragata Room, for 15 people: COP 2,000,000.
- Pool Rooms, for 6 people: COP 500,000.
For any of them, you must pay 50% upfront and the rest before arrival.
